The Arashi or crinkled effect was achieved by wrapping the pre-treated silk scarf around a craft pole, binding, and dyeing for several hours. Arashi hand dyed to create crinkles, irregular and graduated shades of purple, white, and muted lavender colors throughout.

Care Instructions: Some silk dye run-off may occur during initial washings. Hand-wash, separately, with cold water and mild detergent. Add fabric softener when washing and/or rinsing. Gently wring and hang to dry. Use a hand-held steamer, or gently iron on a silk setting/wrong side to remove wrinkles. Store in a mesh or cloth bag or hang on a velvet hanger. Because the scarf is hand-dyed some variations in color may be seen.
